The General Warblings Of A Norn Ironer

good grief… its been ages since i’ve updated this thing!

 well, where to start.

since the last time, well, i’m single again but these things can;t really be helped. i’ve got a new job… going to be working for volkswagen when i get back from holidays… oh yes, i’m going on holidays on thursday :)

given the amount of time thats passed, you would think i’d have more to say ah well…. i guess nothing terribly interesting has happened…

I’ve officially had it with men!! It’s true, the  only man a girl can really depend on is her daddy….

I simply can’t do anything right….. despite being one of the most caring and considerate people i know….. ah well, plenty more fish and all that!

thats right…. i started my new job last night!! For the next few weeks i’m working part-time (2-3 evenings a week and the odd saturday) in the used car dealership… until i get moved to the brank spanking new dealership in a full time capacity!

i haven’t really got to do much so far, it was  fairly quiet last night, so i spent most of my time moving around the cars on the forecourt (most mercs, fords and hondas), putting signs up and answering the phones. But i’m loving the fact that i can do this a few hours a week before i actually begin my full training!

I do have some bad news, Taff was a silly boy…… he’s only gone and lost his licence…. and he only passed his test in november. Needless to say, i was not amused when he told me about being caught speeding, but just over a week later he tells me that he’s crashed the works car, and not only that, was 3 times over the limit!! I kinda feel let down by him, as him finally having a car took a lot of pressure off me, but now the pressure is back on. And it looks as though he’s going to be demoted and shipped out of northern ireland becuase of his little stunt! (and with the hefty fine that he’s going to have to pay, my engagement ring is being put on hold too)

Had a few nice little outings recently, and probably the best was Minis In The Forest, where i got my new stripes and spotlamps fitted…. i even managed to persuade a few other loonies to camp on the saturday night, so we had great craic andd a nice little trip home after, taking in coastal and mountain routes.

 Anyways, i can’t think of anything else thats remotely interesting, so i’ll end it here

So, its been about a month since I updated this…. whats been happening in my little world you may ask!

Well, I’ve been on a few interviews…. I hate those silly first round interviews… whats the point in spending ages filling out an application form when you’re going to be asked to go through it in an interview? Are these people so lazy that they don’t even read them before inviting you for interview??? I’m still applying for jobs, despite hearing that my job evaluation has finally been done and the job will be made permanent within the next few weeks!

Keith finally got his promotion, and has got to stay in N.I.. He’s just moved a little bit further away. I haven’t seen him since he started (cos of some clearance thing) and won’t be seeing him until the 20th, but its probably just as well given my current circumstances….

 My nanny fell on Sunday morning and broke her hip…. she’s currently waiting on an operation to insert pins into it. The hospital she’s in is just over an hour away from home, and i’ve been visiting as often as i possibly can… which doesn’t leave time for anything else.

My sister underwent surgery on her nose yesterday, and just got home, so i’m going to be her personal slave for the 3 days that she can’t leave the house…. oh joy!!! I have, however, told her that if she gives me any grief i will post pics of her in all her dressings….

I myself haven’t been feeling great recently….. hayfever is kicking in and my head has been pounding for a few days…… it was a good excuse when looking to get out of family gathering with my extremely annoying cousins though…

 My American cousins were visiting for 2 weeks (they went home this mornng) and i can honestly say, they have put me off ever going to visit them. I was considering going over next year for a couple of weeks…. but my plans have since changed!! What an annoying/demanding/self-obsessed/miserable/tight-wadded bunch of people they are!!!

 Anyways, I’ve had my wee rant, and  i feel much better now!

Everything else has been motoring on as normal….. I was going to change the car a few weeks ago (had ordered another car and was due to collect it 2 weeks ago) but i decided to cancel the order and keep the MINI…. i just couldn’t part with my little Rod. My friends are all still nuts…. no reflection on myself obviously…. the house hunting continues and everything is as it should be generally.

 And am I dreaming, or does Jordan have a girlfriend????

thank goodness for that….. i’ve never been so bored in all my life….. and its only going to get worse with the year end coming and accounts breathing down my neck.

 But its Friday I thought it would never come.

Another quick little update: I received a call from a recruitment agency earlier…. apparently they have forwarded my CV to a company for an assistant manager position so I should hear whether or not they want to bring me in for an interview by Wednesday waaaahooo

How very fancy

Just wanted to update my lovelies who frequently read  my journal.

My last journal entry was about application forms and my current job hunt….. and despite having been offered a job with a marketing firm in Belfast, i’m still hunting, as i turned the job down.

 You may ask why i turned the job down, but had you been stood outside a filling station beside a dual carriageway for an entire day selling this amazing and innovative new wax and wash product (FW1 to be precises, and it is very good) to people who merely wanted to put petrol into their cars so that they could get to work/home/wherever you would have turned the job down too….. especially after hearing that your salary would be ENTIRELY commission based.

I’ve applied for soooooo many jobs now, going by the Law Of Averages ONE of them has to be for me surely!!

The longer i sit in front of MPH the shorter my fuse gets…. and its pretty obvious how bored i am…. just look at how much of my working day i spend online!!!

So anyways, other than that things are going pretty well…. its my birthday soon, and i’m having a little party organised (a “back to our childhood” party), keith has been fishing for clues as to what to buy me, the house hunt also continues and my best friend FINALLY dumped the no-good boyfriend…
